Adding spice to the otherwise dull box-office is ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ with its unique content and interesting storyline. The Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari helmed film has enjoyed a good weekend with a massive growth of 30.65 per cent.
The film produced by Junglee Pictures and BR Studios flagged off its run at the domestic box-office with an estimated collection of Rs 2.42 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 3.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.03 crore on Sunday. Thus taking its three-day total to an estimated Rs 11.30 crore.
The romantic-comedy is cashing in on good word of mouth and positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ revolves around a small-town girl Bitti (Kriti Sanon) as she sets out on a quest to find her Prince Charming – author Pritam Vidrohi (Rajkummar), and seeks help from Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann), the owner of a printing press.
The film which is applauded for not being the typical run off the mill Bollywood romance has also won appreciation from a number of Bollywood celebrities. From Karan Johar praising its “warm, funny and delightful” story to Sushant Singh Rajput praising the lead stars for their impeccable performances, a number of celebs have lauded the film.
‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ is a must watch this week, given that it is touted as “Saal ki sabse swadisht aur parivarik film”.
